The one who calls you is faithful, and He will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:24

My feet are swollen, my hands are sore. Moving is no joke! Now I understand why we hire a cleaning team, and no, they are not over paid! (we will finish cleaning the "old" house today hopefully, then life will be a little simpler- maybe.) Thank God for moving companies too. A perk of the army.

The kids and I have been "moving" for a week now. Our own little PCS. I teased that Johnny took four bags and moved a zillion miles away. The kids and I took the rest (about a zillion bags and boxes) and moved 10 miles. I don't know which is easier.  Even though I am completely pooped, it has been a good move.  The kids have been amazing, a huge help to me. We moved a ton ourselves, which made the actual moving day a breeze. Three hours for them to pack and load the household goods we hadn't moved yet; some Papa John's pizza and ice cold cokes;  two, almost three hours to get the semi on post thru security;  and one hour for them to unload. Only looks like a small tornado went thru both houses! Unpacking one house, cleaning the other.

Local moves are definitely less stressful than the real PCS, yet still full of challenges. Yesterday, I killed one of the biggest spiders I've ever seen, in our new abode. Instantly I missed my hubby. I wanted him to protect me and kill that stupid bug. And last night at midnight (after more than one trip to Lowes) I successfully learned how to change the cord on a dryer! It probably took me about 10 times longer than it would have taken Johnny. I miss my man. I can never say my life is boring. God is faithful, and with Him, I can do it.
